Weight Dispute Manager

Whenever you ship goods via a courier delivery partner, there may be a time when you have inaccurately calculated the weight of the package due to which you may be charged incorrectly by the courier company. After the courier company re-weighs the package, a weight difference/dispute may occur which leads to a change in the delivery cost. With the help of this module, you can handle and resolve such weight disputes.


1. From the Homepage, click on Orders.

2. Click on Weight Dispute Manager.

3. Select a dispute that has a discrepancy tag associated with it. These discrepancies occur when there is a weight difference between the weight/dimensions calculated by the vendor and the weight/dimensions updated by the courier partner.

4. Upon selecting a dispute, you can view the details entered by the vendor and the updated details mentioned by the courier company.

If the amount charged by the courier is exceeding the initial delivery amount, then the pending amount will be marked in red.

This means the vendor will have to pay the pending amount if he/she agrees with the weight dispute raised by the courier company.


Please Note

If the amount charged by the courier is less than the initial delivery amount, then the pending amount will be marked in green.

This means the vendor will receive the refundable amount upon accepting the weight dispute.

5. If you agree with the raised weight dispute, then click on the Accept tab.

6. The system will ask whether you wish to accept the weight dispute or not. Click on Accept.

The weight dispute gets accepted.


Important Note

Upon receiving the weight discrepancy from the courier company, the vendor will have up to 4 days to raise a dispute after which the weight mentioned by the courier company will be auto-accepted.

7. In case you wish to raise any weight issue for a particular package, select the dispute and click on the Raise Dispute tab.

8. Upload multiple images of the package and the shipping label since these images act as proof that the dimensions mentioned by you are correct and could help in resolving a weight dispute in a quick and fair manner.

9. Add some description regarding the uploaded images so that the courier company can understand the issue in-depth. Finally, click on Submit.

10. The system will ask whether you wish to raise the weight dispute with the delivery partner or not. Click on Confirm.

The weight dispute request has been sent to the courier company for further examination.

You can view the weight dispute details for that order under the timeline section.

It can take up to 7 days for a weight dispute to be resolved.
