Delivery Pending Orders

This module displays the list of all pending home delivery orders.


Why are my online orders not appearing here?
In case an online order is not appearing on the Delivery Pending page, check whether the order has been billed or not by the vendor. All orders placed online first have to be billed, only after which will it be eligible for delivery.

Assign Delivery Boy

You can assign a delivery boy to the order with this feature.


1. From the Homepage, click on Orders.

2. Click on Delivery Pending.

The following page will be displayed.

Each order has 5 columns and displays the following information:

    • Delivery Date & Time: This displays the date and time when the delivery has to be made.
    • Order Date: This displays the date and time when the order was placed. It also displays the order number, and whether the order was placed from your website or your app.
    • Invoice date: This displays the date and time when the invoice was generated. It also displays the invoice number.
    • Customer: This displays the name and contact number of your customer.
    • Order Value: This displays the total amount of the order.

 

3. To deliver an order, click on Assign for Delivery.

4. Click on Delivery Boy.

5. A list of delivery boys will be displayed. Select the delivery boy for which you want to assign the order.

Offline: This label is displayed when the delivery boy has not signed in to the application.
Available: This label is displayed when the delivery boy is available for deliveries

Once assigned, the delivery boy’s name will be displayed for that order.

As soon as the delivery boy picks up the order from your store and updates the same on his app, the status of the order will be updated to Track Delivery, along with the name of the delivery boy assigned.

6. You can click on Track Delivery to check the location of your delivery boy from your store, as well as from your customer’s delivery address.

Important Note
You can assign and track your delivery boy only if they have accepted the order through the Jd Delivery Boy app.
Note

If the order’s status is Delivery Failed/Collect Goods, it means that the delivery was not successful, and you either need to cancel the order or assign another delivery boy to complete the delivery. If the delivery boy could not successfully deliver the order to the customer, he will mark the order as Delivery Failed. This will change the status of the order to Delivery Failed/Collect Goods and will be displayed along with the name of the delivery boy who could not deliver the order. To proceed with failed delivery orders, follow the below-mentioned steps.

1. Click on Delivery Failed/Collect Item.

2. Click on Cancel Order if you want to cancel the delivery order.

3. Click on Assign For Delivery if you want to assign the order again.

From the following slider, you can re-assign the delivery with these options.

1. From the Homepage, tap on Orders.

2. Tap on Delivery Pending.

3. Tap on any order that needs to be delivered.

4. Tap on Assign for Delivery.

5. Tap on Delivery Boy.

6. A list of delivery boys will be displayed. Select the delivery boy for which you want to assign the order.

Offline: This label is displayed when the delivery boy has not signed in to the application.
Available: This label is displayed when the delivery boy is available for deliveries.

Once assigned, the delivery boy’s name will be displayed in the delivery details.

As soon as the delivery boy picks up the order from your store and updates the same on his app, the status of the Order will be updated to Track Delivery Boy, along with the name of the delivery boy assigned.

7. You can tap on Track Delivery Boy to check the location of your Delivery boy from your store, as well as from your customer’s delivery address.

8. In case of pending payment, tap on the order and tap on Collect Payment.

9. Select the payment mode as per your requirement.

10. Enter the payment details and tap on Confirm Payment.


Important Note
You can assign and track your delivery boy only if they have accepted the order through the Jd Delivery Boy app.

Note

If the order’s status is Delivery Failed/Collect Goods, it means that the delivery was not successful, and you either need to cancel the order or assign another delivery boy to complete the delivery. If the delivery boy could not successfully deliver the order to the customer, he will mark the order as Delivery Failed. This will change the status of the order to Delivery Failed/Collect Goods and will be displayed along with the name of the delivery boy who could not deliver the order. To proceed with failed delivery orders, follow the below-mentioned steps.

1. Tap on Collect Items.

2. From the following page, tap on Cancel Order if you want to cancel the delivery order.

3. Enter any cancellation charges if required and tap on Cancel.

The order gets canceled.

4. In case you want to re-assign the order, then tap on Assign For Delivery.

You can re-assign the delivery again, with the options displayed.

Hyper Local Delivery

This feature allows you to deliver large quantities of goods to your customer that are located in the nearby vicinity of your store.


1. From the Homepage, click on Orders.

2. Click on Delivery Pending.

3. Select a customer from the list that you have to deliver the goods.

4. Under the View Orders section, click on Assign for Delivery once you have checked the order details for that customer.

5. Select the Hyperlocal Delivery option.

6. A map and its corresponding address get generated. The map shows the location of your store from which the goods will be picked up from. Click on Confirm Pick Up Location once you enter the correct store location.


Important Note

For the map functionality to work properly, make sure you give location access to your website.

If Location Access isn’t given then the Location Services gets disabled.

7. Now select the delivery location for that customer. Click on Confirm Delivery Location.


Note

If the customer delivery address is located beyond the Hyperlocal Delivery range limit of 5-7 Kms, the order won’t be assigned. Instead, you can avail of the Delivery Boy option provided in Assign for Delivery slider.

8. Once you confirm the pickup location, you will have the option to either schedule the delivery immediately or at a later interval.

9. Upon selecting the Schedule Delivery Later option, a Select Pick-Up Date & Time slider opens up. Enter the pickup schedule details and click on Schedule Delivery.

If a delivery boy is available at the scheduled time then the order will be assigned to them.


Note

Although the system will attempt to allocate a delivery boy for a scheduled order, we will intimate you via Email, SMS, or WhatsApp if a delivery boy isn’t available for that scheduled time and you will have to arrange alternative means to deliver the goods to your customers.

10. Now if you want to deliver the bulk goods immediately to your customers, click on Deliver Now option.

11. Click on Deliver Now.

Once a Delivery boy has been assigned for that order, he/she can deliver the goods to the customer.


Note

If a delivery boy isn’t available at that particular time interval, you can click on Try Again at a later interval.

If a delivery boy is still not available you need to click on Go To Order Details and choose any other means of delivery so that you can deliver the goods on time.


Low Balance

In case if the delivery charge exceeds your current balance, you will need to top-up your balance so that you can use the Hyperlocal Delivery Mechanism without any hassle.

12. If you want to track the location of your delivery boy from their destination, click on Track Delivery Boy.

You can check the location of the delivery boy from the map provided.

1. From the Homepage, tap on Orders.

2. Tap on Delivery Pending.

3. Select a customer from the list that you have to deliver the goods.

4. Under the View Orders section, tap on Assign for Delivery once you have checked the order details for that customer.

5. Select the Hyperlocal Delivery option.

6. A map and its corresponding address get generated. The map shows the location of your store from which the goods will be picked up from. Tap on Confirm Location once you enter the correct store location.

12. The system will allocate a Delivery boy for that scheduled time. Tap on Continue.

He/she will deliver the goods to the customer.


Note

If a delivery boy isn’t available at that particular time interval, you can tap on Try Again at a later interval.

If a delivery boy is still not available you need to tap on Go To Order Details and choose any other means of delivery so that you can deliver the goods on time.


Low Balance

In case if the delivery charge exceeds your current balance, you will need to top-up your balance so that you can use the Hyperlocal Delivery Mechanism without any hassle.

13. If you want to track the location of your delivery boy from their destination, tap on Track Delivery Boy.

You can check the location of the delivery boy from the map provided.

Jd Courier Delivery

This feature allows you to ship goods to your customer with the help of a Jd courier delivery partner.


1. From the Homepage, click on Orders.

2. Click on Delivery Pending.

3. Select a customer from the list that you have to deliver the goods.

4. Under the View Orders section, click on Assign for Delivery once you have checked the order details for that customer.

5. Select the Jd Courier delivery option.


Important Note

Jd Courier cannot be assigned to orders having a Cash On Delivery payment option.

6. A map and its corresponding address get generated. The map shows the location of your store from which the goods will be picked up from. Click on Confirm Location once you enter the correct store location.


Please Note

If Jd Courier delivery is not available at your designated pick up and delivery Pincode, you will not be able to assign the order.

You will have to deliver the goods by some other delivery mechanism such as Delivery Boy, Hyperlocal Delivery, or through third-party courier services.


Give Location Access

For the map functionality to work properly, make sure you give location access to your website.

If Location Access isn’t given then the Location Services gets disabled.

A Delivery details slider opens up. Here you can view the pickup and Delivery address under the Order Details section.

7. Since this delivery is via shipment, you need to enter the package dimension details. The delivery charges incurred will be based on either the actual weight or the volumetric weight.

What is Volumetric Weight and how is it calculated?

Volumetric Weight, also known as dimensional weight is calculated from the length (L), width (W), and height (H) of a package.

Volumetric Weight for Air Shipping is calculated by the formula LxWxH (in cms)/ 5000.

Volumetric Weight for Surface Shipping is calculated by the formula LxWxH (in cms)/ 4000.

Once you have added the Product dimensions in the given field, the volumetric weights are automatically calculated based on the above formulas.

 

8. Click on Continue to proceed.


Please Note
If a delivery partner is not available at that moment, you can either try again at a later interval or go back to order details and select any other means of delivery.

9. If a Delivery partner is available, select it and click on Book Shipment.


Low Balance

If the shipping charge exceeds your current balance, you will need to top-up your balance so that you can book the shipment.

10. Once you have successfully booked a shipment with a delivery partner, they will send a shipping label to your registered email id. You can click on the Download link to obtain the shipping label.

Print and paste these shipping labels on the packages that you have to deliver.

What do you mean by a Shipping Label?

A Shipping Label displays key information for a delivery partner to transport items from their pick-up location to its delivery location.

Such information may include package dimensions, client & order ID, Invoice / GST details, identification barcode, tracking ID, pick-up, and destination address, etc.

The shipping labels created for every package are unique from one another and cannot be reused.

 

11. Also download the pickup manifest for record purposes, since it is proof of shipment handover to the delivery partner executive.

The manifest document contains a list of shipping packages exchanged with the executive. The signed copy of such manifest can be used to either confirm the pickup or raise an insurance claim if a package is damaged or lost in transit.

12. Click on Continue to proceed.

Your shipment gets confirmed by the delivery partner and its shipment status gets displayed under the order status section.

13. Once the delivery partner executive has picked up the order, you can track their whereabouts by clicking on the Track Order button.

You can check the overall timeline of your order from the Track Order section.


Cancel Shipment

1. In case if you have booked a shipment and would wish to cancel it, you can do so by clicking on the Cancel button next to the delivery partner’s name.

2. The system will ask you whether you want to cancel the shipment or not. On clicking Cancel Shipment, a cancellation request will be sent to the delivery partner.

The shipment gets canceled and the delivery charges will be refunded back to your vendor account.


How to raise an issue for shipment related problems?

1. If you encounter delivery issues with the executive at any stage of the package handover, you can click on the Raise an Issue tab next to the delivery partner's name.

2. Select the issue type from the given list.

3. If prompted, select the reason for the issue.

4. If the package is damaged, you need to upload images of the damaged package along with the signed manifest. Add some description as well.

5. Click on Submit.

6. Click on Confirm.

The Issue has been raised with the delivery partner. They will communicate with you on your registered mobile number or email id.

1. From the Homepage, tap on Orders.

2. Tap on Delivery Pending.

3. Select a customer from the list that you have to deliver the goods.

4. Under the View Orders section, tap on Assign for Delivery once you have checked the order details for that customer.

5. Select the Jd Courier delivery option.


Important Note

Jd Courier cannot be assigned to orders having a Cash On Delivery payment option.

6. A map and its corresponding address get generated. The map shows the location of your store from which the goods will be picked up from. Tap on Confirm Location once you enter the correct store location.

Add Courier Services

Courier services are helpful and economical in case of large deliveries.


1. From the Homepage, click on Orders.

2. Click on Delivery Pending.

The following page will be displayed.

3. Click on Assign for Delivery.

4. Choose a courier service from the list.

5. Enter the Courier Company tracking ID and click on Save and Send.

The customer will receive this information through SMS.

1. From the Homepage, tap on Orders.

2. Tap on Delivery Pending.

3. Tap on any order which needs to be delivered.

4. Tap on Assign for Delivery.

5. Choose a courier service from the list.

6. Enter the Courier Company tracking ID. Tap on Save and Send. Your customer will receive this information through SMS.
