Delivery Boy App

The Delivery Boy app helps you to meet your customers’ demands and ensures a seamless supply of delivery goods.


Important Note

Jd Delivery Boy App is a companion app and not a standalone app. It works in partnership only with Jd Omni: Website Builder & Online Store.

How to enable a Staff Member as a Delivery Boy ?

1. In order to use the JD delivery app, you need to first select one of your staff member and enable Mark as Delivery Boy slider as ON.

2. Once you have marked a staff member as a Delivery Boy, an OTP Verification code is sent to the registered number. Enter the OTP in the OTP verification box. The staff member gets registered as a delivery boy.

1. Open the JD Delivery Boy app and tap on Login.

2. Enter your mobile number and tap on Continue.

3. Either enter the OTP code sent on your registered mobile number or log in with your password.

4. You will be redirected to the delivery boy homepage which displays a list of orders intended for home delivery. The details are as follows.

  1. Displays the customer’s name.
  2. Displays the customer contact details.
  3. Displays the store location from which you have to collect the goods.
  4. Enables you to track the location of the customer that you intend to deliver the goods.
  5. Displays Work order or some instruction that the delivery boy must undertake.
  6. Displays the delivery date/schedule.
  7. Displays the Order ID and number of items ordered
  8. Displays the Order amount and mode of payment
  9. Enables you to confirm the Pick Up Delivery, once you have picked up the goods from the store.
  10. Displays the Delivery Status.

 

5. To access the order page, you need to tap on the burger icon  and tap on Orders. The following options get displayed.

  • Pick Up Pending: Displays all the orders that are yet pending to be picked up from the store.
  • Delivery Pending: Displays all the orders that were picked up from the store but are not yet delivered to the customers.
  • Delivery Failed: Displays a list of orders whose delivery were unsuccessful due to various reasons.
  • Completed: Displays all the orders that have been delivered to their customers successfully.

 

6. The order page gets displayed as follows.

7. Under Pick Up Pending, you can slide on Confirm Pick Up tab for an order, if you have picked up the goods from the store. Their order status changes to Delivery pending orders.


Note

You can Pick Up multiple orders at a time from an outlet.


Note

1. If the store owner has multiple outlets, you can tap on the filter icon to check a list of pending orders for a particular outlet.

2. Select an outlet and tap on Apply.

8. Under Delivery pending orders, if you want to know the customer location intended for delivery, you can tap on Directions next to the Delivery tag.

9. You can use the tracking feature so that you can reach your customer’s destination on time.

10. You can also tap on the Call option to contact directly to the customer.

11. Once you have finished delivering the order to the customer, you can tap on Confirm Delivery.

12. Under Confirm Delivery page, you can check the product list and their pricing details to see whether they are actually tallying with the delivered goods or not. Finally tap on Mark as Delivered, to complete the delivery process.


Delivery Verification via Signature or OTP

Now if you want to verify the delivery after you have delivered the order, you can do so with the help of Signature and OTP options.

1. Upon Selecting the Signature option, you can request the customer to sign on the signature field. Slide on Mark as Delivered to complete the delivery process.

2. Upon Selecting the OTP option, an OTP code is sent to the customer upon which you need to verbally collect the OTP from the customer and enter it into the OTP field as shown below. The order gets verified and marked as delivered after you enter the OTP.

The order status changes to completed after you verify the order via signature or OTP.


Please Note

In case if you want to verify the order as delivered, you need to request the store owner to enable Verify Order Delivery option.

13. You can view the delivered orders in the completed section.

14. If the payment is yet pending to be paid by the customer, you can tap on Send Payment Link option next to the order amount.

15. Enter the customer’s mobile number or email address and tap on Send.

The payment link is sent to the customer via SMS, after which the customer can securely pay for that order amount upon tapping on the payment link.

16. In case the delivery was unsuccessful, you need to tap on Delivery Failed, next to that order.

17. Select the reason for the failed delivery, enter some comment if you wish and tap on Mark as Delivery Failed.

Its order status changes to the delivery failed.

18. If you want to return the order to the store outlet, you need to tap on Return to Store tab and return the goods to the store.


Please Note

To return undelivered items to the store. you need to request the owner to click on Collect Items from the order details page to avoid any inconvenience.
